8/19/09 The Winged Ones
This woman came to my office to address several areas in her life. She soon shared about how the ancestors gave her guidance in terms of her artwork. While I had initially divined on her behalf, I suggested that we could strengthen her connection to the spirit realms so that she could have more direct communication with the ancestors. With the help of the gemstones and some guidance, she was soon able to gain much greater clarity
During this session, we spoke about her process of absorbing the reality of the immense pain she suffered as an infant. I suggested that perhaps she could explore the past life origins of these circumstances of her birth. What lessons is she needing to learn through these experiences? The sentences in parentheses are the questions I asked while she divined.
After making preparations to enter the spirit realms, placing gemstones and burning sage, she begins...
I see these butterfly wings, fly and dragonfly wings.
There is this odd looking man, bald and white. He is dong something with these insect wings, like pulling them.
His eyes and skin are even insect-like.
(What is he doing to these insects?)
He is pulling their wings off.
(Why?)
Because he is bored,
(Does he do this often?)
Yes.
(So there is some cruelty…)
It is bright. Like he is on a mountain top. And there is a coliseum with animals. There are lions.
She expresses concern that she has been influenced by the things I just shared about the Edgar Cayce readings but I assure her that, if anything, it is likely that I shared that information for a reason. It has relevance to her. We continue.
(Where are we? Do you live near a coliseum?)
Yes. He is a coordinator of the events. But he prefers not to be close.
It’s kind of a psychic work. You look at the people who are to be tortured. And you know the animals. And you set them up to achieve the most torture.
(You mean you know their weaknesses and match them with the animals strengths?)
Yes, exactly. She replies with emphatic agreement.
It’s a smell. The people and the animals have a kind of scent that let’s me know how to match them.
(How are the people selected?)
They are the ones who have committed an offense against the state.
(Torture and death? Their crimes must be severe?)
Murder, death, theft sedition, plotting against the state. Enemies of the state and prisoners of war.
(And where are we?)
I thought it was Greece and then Rome came to mind.
(How does his heart feel?)
He feels rather heartless. Numb. An instinct, like this rather instinctive being. He likes tearing the wings on insects because they don’t give off a scent. Something about the scent of fear makes him crazy. It is “disdain-able,” detestable.
(Is he definitely human?)
Barely. His heart is undeveloped.
(And how did he become so cold?)
Coldness. Coldness is all he has known. There was never any tenderness in his life. People think he had courage but it’s just like a disdain for showing fear.
(Tell me about his childhood?)
He was deserted as a baby. He has no connection to his parents. He was just kind of passed from person to person.
(Within the family?)
No family. He was always dirty. But he could go to the sea and wash himself off.
(Was this common in Rome for babies to be deserted and mistreated?)
Oh, yes.
He doesn’t have a heart. He doesn’t know how to use a human heart. He was never taught how to use it, how to love.
To de-wing the winged creatures was his pleasure.
(Because he was de-winged?)
Ah, yes. There seems to be a sense of relief at being understood.
(That resonates with him?)
Yes…. He died. He just flung himself down a mountain.
(How old was he?)
Thirty-four.
(How long did they live there back then?)
Fifty was pretty old age.
(And what is the lesson here? It almost seems that he suffered for his cruelty within that lifetime? Why must you continue to suffer, born into such painful circumstances?)
There are these lessons of the human heart that I needed to learn. Compassion, true courage, not disdain, deep compassion and empathy that I learned from each of my family members. Just watching them, my mother and father. Deep compassion.
And I’ve always had a sense of myself as a winged one. But I was always feeling that my wings were snatched. They were there but they’ve always been just an outline of wings. And each time I climb to a certain place my wings are snatched.
(And you have been getting many messages about the need for compassion for yourself- here I refer to our past work.)
Ah, yes. I can learn compassion for others but it is hardest for myself.
I inquire as to what she can do to better absorb this lesson and continue to heal.
If I really want to do something with a lasting benefit, I can experience compassion for him in that life, and flood his heart with human feeling.
I facilitate this process by emphasizing how he has suffered, from being abandoned as a child to being passed from caretaker to caretaker, neglected and dirty. And how he ultimately took is own life. I instruct her to send love and compassion to his heart. After a period of leaving her to explore this healing, I inquire about her experience.
The winged ones are back. Butterflies and other insects, and birds.
She explains that small birds also fell prey to his acts.
They have all come back with their wings restored.
The Malevolent Intruders
A man I'll refer to as Steven came to me for a reading. In terms of his health, he noted that one of his main concerns consisted of occasional genital bleeding. He had undergone several medical examinations to no avail. In the final analysis, all of the doctors ended up recommending a test that involved inserting a tube into his genitals. In addition to being instinctively averse to such a prospect, several of his own readings indicated that he should not go forward with this procedure. He wanted to try a gemstone layout to see if he could gain any insight regarding his condition.
I place a rose quartz heart and a fluorite heart on his lower abdomen.
The spirit from the rose quartz, a pink female figure dives in and digs with a trident (a three pronged pitch fork) that also vacuums! The spirit of Cheetah, my cat, also joins in, digging and biting. She pulls out a fleshy chunk and gulps it down. At one point, a malevolent figure emerges. He is wearing a dark, hooded cloak and has a menacing energy. His face is not visible.
One of the man's ancestors that I recognize from a prior reading appears. She waves the energy away, wearing long white gloves. She then takes a spear with a huge pointed end and digs into rock. It too has a vacuuming action for debris. The rock gives way to dirt. I sense gems beneath. As she digs she notes, “rigid attitudes.” It is clear that his problem partly stems from a lack of flexibility in his thinking. She also recommends three herbs: burdock, catnip, and myrrh. Finally she uncovers his spirit. She pulls him out. He is so relieved to be freed. He stands facing the sun, joyously taking in it’s rays. I try to talk to him but he calmly puts his hand up. His energy is very peaceful and evolved.
He turns to the hole that was dug and with a large, flat stone, he swipes away the remaining soil and rock. This uncovers an enormous diamond. As he pulls it out, it emerges much smaller, the size of a grapefruit. He pushes it into his chest and is filled with an immense surge of energy. It overwhelms me as I too experience this surge. He is elated, and raises his arms and ROARS!
Soon he is in outer space, rolling his hips in different directions. I sense that he must stretch his hip joints. I also see myself pushing his knees to his chest as he lay on his back. He needs an overall release of tension and constriction in his body through stretching and movement.
Afterwards, as I inquire about his experience with the reading he says that he was very moved when I spoke of him placing the diamond in his chest. He explained that he does a Tehuti ritual that involves placing a diamond in his heart before he does an oracle reading. Later I contacted an herbalist friend of mine regarding the herbal recommendations. The burdock, a blood cleanser, and the catnip, which provides soothing made sense given the chronic bleeding. Yet the role of the myrrh was not apparent. When I later expressed this to Steven, he said that he wanted to go ahead and begin taking the herbs.
A few weeks later, Steven told me that recently he finds that he tends to see an image of worms whenever he thinks about his ailment. He soon had the inclination to do research regarding parasites. Sure enough, the herbal remedy for parasites is myrrh! A week or so after this revelation, he actually spotted tiny worms being expelled during urination. He has not experienced the bleeding since that time. Also of note, Steven reminded me that during the reading a dark, figure had appeared. He had a malevolent kind of energy, and bore a dark, hooded cloak that concealed his face. He associated this figure with the parasites, as they have literally been feeding on him for nearly two decades.
Revenge and Illness
In October 2007, I had a rather unexpected outcome with a crystal layout. One of the women from the Sacred Circle, a weekly gathering at Sakhu, requested a gemstone healing to address several issues. During the earlier part of the session, she received a healing of her lower back, her spirit being folded completely in half in an extreme backbend. Later she received assistance with grounding, as she was completely submerged in the Earth. She seemed to enjoy being “dirty,” grinning triumphantly with soil in her teeth! Then, in the midst of the forest that surrounded her, a beam of colorful light descended from the sky. A woman in a silver gown emerges from the light. She resembles Lina, tall and thin, one of my guides from Sirius. I begin thinking of this stellar constellation. She takes Kia by the hands and they emerge in space, floating on their bellies. It becomes clear that Kia is a Sirian. It is also revealed that she is enacting her purpose by becoming a healer. She was also given instructions on how to heal her eyes. At one point she inquired about how to improve her study skills. It was explained that she must create an altar with gemstones, with each gem representing a different area of study. She must infuse these gems with her knowledge and allow them to hold the knowledge for her. Retrieving the knowledge will be a matter of connecting with the gemstones.
Finally, she spoke of a chronic pain in her side. She had been to two doctors but they were unable to identify a cause or come up with effective treatment. Although I was not accustomed with intervening aggressively when it comes to physical imbalances, I decided to be very assertive in asking for Tehuti’s assistance. At first a triangle of light appeared wrapped around her side. As I implored Tehuti for clarity and a resolution, I began to see a foot rapidly kicking her side several times as her face grimaced with pain. I got a sense of martial arts and asked her if she practiced this and she indicated that she did. Yet I knew that if she had been struck so hard she would remember! I continued to inquire for clarity.
Suddenly I sensed a man, full of rage, attacking her with a passion for vengeance. He screamed in Chinese but I was unable to decipher any meaning. Soon the central themes emerged: Kia, in a past life, caused dishonor to his family by some bad deed she had done to his son. He continued to scream with his son standing beside him. The sense of shame and dishonor that he felt were powerful. He clearly had a profound need to release this anger, and restore honor to his family. Most of the time that he wailed in Chinese I could not understand a word, yet he seemed content to have an audience. Finally, he seemed satisfied. He put his hand on his son’s shoulder and the two of them walked away.
When this was all finished, I asked Kia about her experience. She spoke of deeply empathizing with this man, and she was concerned with whatever it was that she may have done to his son. Although I imagined that she might have to get back in contact with this man and continue to make amends, she stated that the pain in her side was gone! Recently, now two months later, I learned that she continues to experience a dramatic reduction in her pain. I am hoping to reconnect with her at some point to see if she can eliminate the minor pain she now has if she is able to continue to make amends to this man she encountered.
1/23/09 Curtain Call
This crystal layout was specifically intended to help elucidate a woman’s spiritual mission.
Immediately her spirit steps out of her body and begins to dance. She is dressed like a Hollywood version of a “vagabond,” in a burlesque/vaudeville kind of atmosphere. She soon evolves into a clown. The clown then steps out of her and she looks at the clown disapprovingly. She is clearly uncomfortable with the clown’s presence and shews him away. He lifts his gloved hands with an exaggerated frown and twists two bent fingers, comically wiping his eyes. He then shuffles away in his giant shoes.
Next she is in a pink dress on an open field, with a pink umbrella. There is a sense that she would benefit from an exploration of her feminine more side. She is soon digging in the dirt, pulling out roots and carrots and eating them, along with the soil! I sense that she needs to eat raw vegetables for to get the energy of the sun. She has a deep connection to nature and when she arrives at the place where she is soon to move she is going to be surprised at how desperately she needs to be connected to nature; how it brings her into herself.
Next she is walking out of a house onto a porch and out into the field. He is planting flowers and relishing their loving energy. I sense that the flowers will talk to her and she will be able to see their spirits. Then she has a table before her with loose gemstones and jewelry. I sense a deep connection to gems and a desire to make jewelry. Then there is an old fashioned typerwriter on the table before her. As he is typing away, writing a play, there are performers dancing, in front of her on a stage. Soon she too is dancing.
Then they all face me, hand in hand, and fold into a dramatic bow. Curtains drop in front of them in a sudden wave.
At the close of this divination she shares several correspondences to her own experiences. She said that when she saw the clown she felt uncomfortable. “The clown” is an image she identified with in terms of her past as the insecure extrovert who felt she needed to always entertain everyone. She was not surprised she shewed him away. She was surprised at the suggestion of exploring her feminine side, identifying with the side of her that tends to avoid this.
As for the image of her eating roots and dirt, she enthusiastically said, “I love dirt!.” She explained that she often has the desire to explore dirt and put her hands in it. I asked if she ever worked with clay and she seemed to feel excited at the thought! As far as her devouring the roots and vegetables she said that she had recently read an article about eating raw vegetables as a means of absorbing the sun’s energy!
As for the gemstones, she always wears a pouch with four gemstones in it. She has had a longstanding interest in the mineral kingdom, and recalls keeping a geology collection of rocks from elementary school for many years. She had also pondered the notion of making jewelry. There were other correspondences, such as a connection to flowers. She also clearly writes, so the notion of her writing theatrical works resonated deeply. As did the inclusion of the element of dance. As I am typing this I am noting the possible significance of the fact that she ends up dancing, and takes a bow along with the actors. It could be that she stands beside them as a writer, yet it could also signify her eventual return to the stage as a performer. In recent months she had begun to question her dream of becoming an actor.
Overall the message was clear. She was given several means to replenish her and build her spiritual strength, through exploring her femininity, and through her connection to nature. It was clear that by devouring raw vegetables and communing with plants, flowers, and gemstones, she would begin to feel at home and come into her spiritual power. This would also unleash her creative abilities, and she would find her place in the theatre, first as a writer and perhaps, beyond.
9/10/08 The Wealth of our Wombs
I had been seeing this woman for a period of time for regular gemstone layouts. At the start of our work, it was soon apparent that she needed to heal from the grief associated with a miscarriage that had taken place nearly nine months prior. Time and time again throughout our work it was revealed that motherhood would play a central role in her spiritual development. As is customary for her, she approaches today’s gemstone layout with no particular question, and prefers to allow spirit to chose what they with to reveal.
I begin by asking her if she was able to attend the Yemaya ritual at the ocean, an event she had spoken of when we last met. During our meeting, spirit had instructed her to continue to explore her divine feminine energy, and to deepen her connection to the ocean. She stated that she had indeed attended the ritual. When I inquired about some of the other tasks, such as developing her altar, she said that rather than brining me up to date, she was anxious to see what the spirits would reveal…
As the journey begins I find us under water. I place the pyramid and grid. She sits up and playfully releases bubbles of air from her mouth. She then floats into a graceful breast stroke. There is light beaming up form the ocean floor, clams and gems. She places them in a pouch that appears. He reaches for a peal the size of a gulf ball and gulps it down. As she glances at a starfish I am made aware of the connection between a starfish and the celestial stars.
Yes, the ocean is a whole other universe and it is very important.
A dark tunnel appears before us. Gems and gold coins line the bottom.
They swirl into the form of a woman composed of a glistening gold. I have to pause and go more deeply into my body for clarity. She lets me know that it is not just anyone who is able to find her and see her.
Her stomach begins to bulge.
The wealth of our wombs….the wealth of our wombs.
She begins to give birth. An octopus emerges from her womb. As he floats away I recognize eyes that seem to have an ancient wisdom. I recall the octopus that appeared under the merkaba by the sun. I am perplexed by all of this…
I ask her if Imani* has any questions for this feminine spirit.
She says, “ask her, should I do it?”
I repeat the question, unclear of it’s meaning, “Should Imani do it?”
The woman appears before a round table across from Imani, spreading a tarot deck on the table. Imani is too excited to see her. She throws the table over and embraces her with great emotion. It becomes clear that Imani’s spirit is pregnant. The woman lays her back and begins painting her toe nails. She explains that it is time for a ritual to honor the miracle of this woman who bears new life. The bald man of past journeys appears behind her, massaging her shoulders. There are many sea creatures about, honoring her.
Soon she appears in a bedroom arising from sleep, as if this was all a dream. Everything in the room is white with iridescent overtones, like a pearl. It has all been touched by the dream. She sits before a mirror, adorning herself with pearls and other objects from the sea. She is told to use object from the ocean. If you were to adorn yourself like a goddess of the sea, you would be fully at home.
At the close of the journey I ask her about her question. She confessed that, once again, she is pregnant.
